How to Clean Your Weed Bowls

Glass pipes are easy to clean if you stay on top of it. The more often you clean, the less work it actually takes. Start by soaking the pipe in isopropyl alcohol. 

Some recommend coarse salt to loosen resin, but this can cause microabrasions in the glass so we don’t endorse it. Shake gently, rinse with warm water, and repeat if needed. You can use pipe cleaners for hard-to-reach spots.

How do I use the carb on weed bowl?

The carb hole controls airflow. Keep it covered as you light the bowl and inhale. The chamber will fill with smoke. Then, uncover it when you’re ready to “clear” the pipe and finish your hit. It might take some trial and error for you to figure out how long you should inhale before clearing.

Should I pack my glass smoking pipe to the brim?

No. Leave a little room, as packing it too tight restricts airflow and makes it hard to get a smooth pull. Aim for a medium pack that’s snug enough to hold shape but loose enough to allow air to pass through. You’ll get cleaner hits and less clogging. 

Do I need to put a bigger chunk of herb in the bottom of the pipe?

This is called a “nug plug,” and can help prevent smaller bits from pulling through. Place a slightly larger nug at the bottom of the bowl, then fill it up the rest of the way with your ground up herb to prevent scooby snacks and inhaled herb.

How do I prevent the dreaded “Scooby Snacks”?

Should a glass pipe for smoking change colors?
