How Does it Work?

Is an E-Rig Better Than a Traditional Dab Rig?

How Do Electric Rigs Compare to Bongs?

They’re totally different. Our glass bongs for sale are made for flower, whereas e-rigs are made for concentrate. You can’t really use one device in place of the other - you could technically add a banger to your bong but again, it’s going to fall short of the real deal. 

Is an E-Rig and an E-Nail the Same Thing?

Close, but no - these are once again distinct devices. An e-nail is an electronic heater that attaches to a traditional dab rig. It replaces a torch and gives you unparalleled control over temperature, but you’re still dabbing on a rig. 

In contrast, an e-rig is a complete, self-contained unit with water filtration, heating, and power built in. E-rigs are simpler and more portable.

What About Dab Pens?

Again, these are dab pens and e-rigs are not the same thing. A dab pen is smaller and more discreet. You’re often buying these directly from a dispensary either as a disposable device or a cartridge (which then has to be attached to a battery). 

You’re still vaporizing concentrate, but a dab pen sacrifices power and water filtration for its convenience and discretion. An electric dab rig brings you cooler vapor, stronger hits, and more flavor. 

How to Use an Electric Dab Rig

You’ll want to follow the specific directions included with YOUR e-rig before using it, as there could be nuances. In general, though, you’ll start by filling the water chamber to the recommended level - enough to filter the vapor without splashing into the mouthpiece.

Then, power up the rig and choose your temperature. Lower settings bring out the concentrate’s flavor, while higher settings will lead to thicker rips and bigger clouds. 

Let the device fully heat up before adding your concentrate. Drop it into the bowl, cap if required, and inhale steadily rather than pulling hard. We recommend swabbing the bowl out while it’s still warm to keep residue from baking on.

Caring for E-Rigs

Just like a normal rig, you’ll want to care for your electric rig to keep it working well. Change the water often so old residue doesn’t affect taste. Clean the bowl and atomizer gently with isopropyl alcohol and cotton swabs. Never scrape or flood electronic parts.

Keep charging ports dry, and don’t store the rig with water inside. Treat the battery like you would any other device: avoid overcharging, extreme heat, or long periods completely drained. You may need to replace the battery every so often or other components.
