Working out While High

Working out While High

Have you ever thought about adding herb to your workout? While the media likes to portray smokers as lazy and gluttonous, nowadays when you’re looking around at the gym, the odds of someone around you being high are, well, high. As legal herb and concentrate become more readily available, many people are finding ways to incorporate it into their exercise routine to make the experience more enjoyable.

While some think this is a new occurrence, it’s more often something others haven’t spoken about for fear of the stigma associated. Even the most esteemed athletes, like Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps, have faced scrutiny over their choice to smoke. With the national stance on legal herbs and concentrates slowly changing, is it something that could work for you?

Some users choose to medicate before, after, or both due to exercise related, or sometimes chronic pains. Others do it to simply enjoy their workout more, and that’s okay too. The most important factor when deciding whether or not to add herb to your workout is knowing your relationship with it. Everyone is different and nobody knows your body more than you. If you feel like you can handle it, then proceed with caution. If not, try getting your setup ready before you leave for the gym so that it’s waiting for you when you get home.

Now before you’re so high you can’t speak, consider how much, and what strain, you’re smoking before heading to the gym. You’re not going to want to be so high you’re nonverbal. You do still have to interact with people, albeit minimally, at the gym. Stick to something with less of a full body high and smoke less than you would during a normal sesh. You don’t want to mix being too high with lifting heavy objects.

We actually suggest a cardio only day for your first time. Studies have suggested that smoking can increase your feelings of motivation, along with helping you tolerate more discomfort, so you can go the extra mile. This can be especially helpful when you’re just trying to grind out your cardio on an elliptical or treadmill.

If you want to smoke during your workout, the gym may not be the best place to go. There are some amazing alternatives though, like herb focused yoga classes, edibles before you leave your house, or simply getting outdoors for a walk or hike. If you’ve never packed a joint away for a hike, I’ll tell you right now you’re missing out.

When ditching the runner’s high for something little quicker, always remember to be responsible. As mentioned before, everyone is different and nobody knows your body more than you. Mixing herb and working out isn’t for everyone and that’s okay. You can always have it waiting on you when you get home.
